[attr="class","CONTENT2"]A quick job they said. Just a Ravener demon they said. They didn't mention it was more than just one... more than twenty. Only sending out him and someone else to deal with it. They were sent to an abandoned building in Queens and it didn't look like the right place until the two of them looked up to the ceiling after something green and slimy dropped onto their shoulders. Twenty or more of them were casually hanging from the ceiling like spiders - just a hundred times bigger than your regular household spider.
They came prepared but they didn't expect such a large amount of those nasty insect-like demons. If someone doesn't like spiders, they surely won't like Raveners. Same difference, just bigger. Endy shuddered at the thought of it. He wasn't the biggest fan of spiders either. He could live with them, knowing they are around (especially inside the old Institute) but he was fine as long as didn't have to see them. He also didn't want to know how many were housing inside all of those old artifacts and vases around the hallways.
Reasons why Endy hated hunting - getting hurt and having to patch yourself up. He hated pain, he hated seeing blood... especially his own. And he couldn't be bothered to use a healing rune for some scratches. He rummaged through the different cabinets and drawers, grabbing things that looked like he could need them. Some bandages, a bottle which a sticker reading antiseptic and swabs. Should be about right?
He gathered the stuff in his arms and stalked over to one of the empty beds where he dropped everything on. Taking a seat, he took one of the swabs out of their packaging and dipped it into the antiseptic. He was slightly skeptical whether or not this was right, eyebrows furrowed together in concern. In slow motion, he guided the swab towards the cut on his forehead, dark eyes looking up to make sure he swiped at the right area. He didn't think about getting a mirror to make things easier. Fully concentrated he dabbed the cut, wincing as the alcohol burned and hurt more than it helped. "Ouch, ouch." he whimpered softly but continued dabbing the antiseptic onto the wound. He ended up dropping the antiseptic into his eye. A hand reached up for it immediately, rubbing furiously until tears emerged from the tear gland.
